Our story

Built on reliability

Following a 16 year career in the industry, SMH Events was established in 2022 with a simple idea: event hire done properly; with reliability, equipment quality and price transparency as core values.

We’re based in Essex and have grown steadily by doing the basics brilliantly.

Over the years we’ve worked on everything from pruivate garden parties to festivals with thousands of attendees. We’ve built stages for bands, installed marquees for weddings, supplied furniture for corporate dinners and run inflatables for school fetes. The variety keeps the job interesting and the repeat bookings tell us we’re getting it right.

We respond within two hours of enquiry, Monday to Saturday.

What sets us apart

Large stock holding and supplier network

Our large stock holding allows us to be competitive on pricing. Should your event require an item we do not stock as standard, we rely on our vetted reliable supplier network. 

We show up on time

400+ events means we have logistics well oiled. Delivery windows are kept, builds are completed on schedule, and collections are prompt. We offer out of hours deliveries & collections - speak to our team to find out more.

Price transparency

We respond within two hours Monday to Saturday. Our quotes provide clear pricing and honest advice.

Experienced team

Our crew have built stages, installed marquees and run events of every scale. 

Fully accessible

Wheelchair-accessible ramp systems available for all stages. 

Fully insured

SMH Events Ltd carries full public liability insurance. All equipment is regularly inspected and meets industry safety standards.
